Not all internally-generated burnout is the same.
Self is a person's own ordinary internal demand, often fear-of-failing architecture rather than simple high standards. The system is predicting failure or shame early, and perfectionism is the route left open once rest and pause have closed.
SELF is different, a coercive pattern originally imposed by someone else that has become trained into a person's own architecture. The narrowing now happens without anyone else in the room.
The two need different recovery routes. Treating SELF-sourced burnout as if it were ordinary self-pressure can miss that the pattern was learned, not original, and can be unlearned the same way any trained route can be widened again.
